I want to try something but I'll delete if no one else wants to play. Just let's share our quirks and eccentricities with the understanding that you can get teased a bit and have fun with it.

The MENTAL HEALTH thread is for serious problems but this one is for fun. So whether you make Alpo a la king in your crock pot or anything else that makes you unique, this is home.

I found exactly 3 bottles of orange juice that said "lots of pulp" The rest of the section was "no pulp" "little pulp" or "some pulp" with most of them being "no pulp"

I didn't pick one up because it's not something i usually drink but just took a moment to notice that while shopping.

I think this thread is a good idea...

...not sure what I can contribute yet, but I like it.

I bought OJ this week because I was craving it, even though it usually plays hell with my reflux. 10/10 will do again.

Anyway, my weird thing is that I always have to end sets of stairs on my right foot. It isn't nearly as serious as an OCD diagnosis because it doesn't disrupt my life in any meaningful way. But there are lots of sets that I just have memorized which foot I need to start on to "end up right," and if I get several steps from the top on any unknown set (or if I "mess up" one I should know), I double-step on the next to last one.

I might have mentioned this one before but all my shirts have to be facing left in my closet. It's like they're not even clean if the buttons (or front of a sweater) is facing to my right.

My middle daughter has a similar but different one, bird. She counts all the stairs as she climbs them but she has to end on an even number so she'll double step on the last one if there are an odd number of stairs.

Yeah, I don't count them but I do just know how many steps are in a lot of sets. Like both the ones at my parents' house, or the ones at church (each place has one set of 12 and one set of 13).

I have a bit of an obsession with making sure everything is unplugged:turned off before I leave the house. Especially the stove. I know it’s wacko and probably anxiety related.

When I visualize a week in my mind, I always see it progressing from right to left. A year is a circle.

No idea why.

I naturally hang everything facing left, my wife naturally hangs everything facing right. We have separate closets now...

When I look a door at my house (from inside or outside), I have to push it over three times to be sure the look is engaged.

At work, I have to lock the door and then pull on the front door twice to make sure the deadbolt is engaged.

I check multiple times to see if my door is locked too.

I can make my ears click. I've never understood what it is or met anyone who can do the same.

When I eat some fries and tortilla chips, I won't eat the end bit where my fingers have held it, I'll just pile up and discard tgem.

I'm the same but I think it's a retail thing, all the clothes have to be hanging the same way on the hangers, and facing the same way in the wardrobe..

I've mentioned this before and found out others do the same thing, so I'm not weird but I write what I'm saying or thinking in the air with my finger...or on a table or my leg..I'll repeat one word over and over...and if the word is neglect I write it in pitmans shorthand because for some reason it's stuck in my head as shorthand..

Does anyone else see the units in their head when they do addition and subtraction?

Ditto.

I have to organise everything in a certain way, if it gets messed up afterwards I'm not bothered, but at that time it must be done the right way.

I will check if the front door is locked, and then leave and go back to recheck before I actually get into the car.

When eating a ferrero rocher chocolate or KitKat's, I eat them layer by layer.

I can't stand when I cut vegetables, or fruit, and someone else takes over and cuts them the wrong size.

I have a chair in my mom's house in the TV room that is 'mine'.
I can't stand when someone uses my slippers or my bath towel. Touch 'my' mug and I will kill you.

And there are more but sound bad enough as it is.

No way!
Do you also eat the chocolate around the sides first?

I count my steps when walking or the number of gulps I have when drinking from a bottle of water etc.
I don’t care what number any of them end up on. It’s just interesting to me.
I’ll stop counting my steps whenever I want and simply forget about it.
I’ll stop drinking water whenever I feel I’ve had enough, but I’ll think “oh, 9 gulps just now”
Same with chewing food. I don’t care how many chews I do, but I’m often counting them.

When I’m somewhere I’ve never been before and I likely to be there again, I like to leave my mark, by doing something such as breaking a leaf of a tree and dropping it, moving a rock, or doing a poo in the middle of the road. Something like that

No. Top layer firstz then sides, then subsequent layers.

When coming to a red light, i always put my car in neutral, then first and back into neutral again 3 times for some reason.

If i'm using ketchup and mustard on something, the mustard goes on first or i wont eat it.

I turn my plate when i eat to get my food in the correct place(meat on the left side of it etc)

Aaand so on and on and on

Like a click sound I imagine right behind or in your eardrum? I usually do that when going down big hills to relieve pressure. It’s such a weird thing to try to explain I always thought I was just explaining it wrong but everyone I’ve talked about it with has said no they cant do that.
2 months ago - Sunday 4/7/19 - 10:12:30 AM EST (GMT-5)
Yessssss! Almost like popping your ears, and it does relieve pressure like when flying, but it makes an audible clicking.

If you put your ear right next to my ear while I do it, you can hear it.

It really freaks people out.

There is a correct way to load a dishwasher. Glass items can't be next to other glass or metal ones. I'll use clean plastic cups or lids to separate them if there aren't dirty ones.
All food has to be cleaned off before putting silverware, plates and bowls in.
There are 6 silverware compartments on the right. From front to back teaspoons, forks, long teaspoons, knives, tablespoons and serving spoons. No mixing.
