Is there something special where you live? I live in the Chicago, Ill area and would recommend visiting the Art Institute of Chicago, Navy Pier and the lake. I like Chicago because of the different cultures and diversity. I wouldn’t recommend visiting in the winter.

The outdoors. Great hiking and biking and whatever all just outside our doors. There's a fun railroad here that you can take to visit another town (but only one other town, it's not connected to anything else). There's a fantastic zip line here as well as a couple ski resorts in the winter. There are a couple theatres in town with fun offerings. And lots of places to drink and get high.

Are there national parks or places of interest? If it is mostly nice weather, that can be a draw.

Do people go camping? I want to try camping but not interested in the bugs

Sure, lots of great outdoor activities close by.

Haha bugs are part of nature. If you prepare for it, they don't bother you. Bug spray works just fine. But out here anyway it's almost desert so there aren't as many bugs as elsewhere with plentiful water. Camping is one of life's great pleasures and I have some friends who count more days in their tent than in their house and love it.

Oh that's right! National parks all over the place here too. National Forests and whatnot.

For anyone visiting Baltimore, I'd recommend visiting our airport so you can visit a different city.

I do love the National Aquarium, tho. That's worth checking out. And they have a new facility where you can see how they rescue and rehabilitate animals that you can tour. That was fun.

And if you're a big fan of The Wire and want to see some real life drug corners I can take you on a tour of that. But I'm going to need you to pay in advance for that one.

My area or my country? Not really much to so around here. Only fancy thing around is the world's oldest paddle steamer still in operation. Aside from that, not much

But about an hour or so to oslo with the munch museum, viking ship museum etc etc so.

But Norway isn't a place to go unless you got a fat wallet anyways.

Is Norway more expensive than Sweden? I really want to visit Sweden but keep hearing how expensive it is so I figured maybe I'll just go to Norway and pretend it's Sweden. It probably looks the same and the languages basically sound the same to me.

I'd take someone to Bath, it's close enough. And maybe the Brecon Beacons. There's nothing right where I live though.

I don’t consider Montreal as a beautiful city. More of a place where you should live for a while. The immersion is what is best. Although there are plenty of interesting touristy places.

It’s the complete opposite of the city where I grew up, Quebec City. Unless you stay in the central area, nice place, nice crowd. Outside of that, very narrow minded « tax payer » mentality.

I highly recommend Montreal. I don't remember any of it, but I loved it.

Depending on what stuff you want to get, between 25-75% more expensive than Sweden on average.

And huge differences between our countries,

We have tons of stuff to do here, tbh. Outdoorsy stuff, sports, restaurants, museums, stuff everyone's heard of and I can't name or everyone will know where I live, etc.

Not a good day to ask, a couple of people in our town's facebook page have posted videos of snakes in their gardens.

Yes they are extremely venomous and no they are not far away.

Well... you're in Australia. Don't you see deadly snakes everyday, wherever you look? Isn't there one RIGHT BEHIND YOU RIGHT NOW?!

On time I fell asleep on a nice warm rock in the late afternoon and I woke surrounded by snakes

Were they inland taipans (I think they're also called fierce snakes)? I don't know much about them except that they have the deadliest venom of any snake so I want one. Wait I mean I want all of them.
