Okay so I'm way behind the times about holodecks because of this.

But maybe they'll have replicators by then.

Just nuclear wasteland.

I have a slim chance of making it to 2100. I kinda hope I don't though. I'd like to see my babies have babies but I'm not fussed when I die after that so long as it's a comfortable death. I'm really unhealthy though so I'll do well to make it that far.

I've just been reading that a huge iceberg is about to detatch itself from the Antartic ice shelf. Should yhis cause further disruptiom to the glacial ice, it could cause sea levels to rise by 20 cm.

Ironnically this would not be through melting ice but by the submerging of glacial ice which is much greater in volume than water.

I'm quite optimistic for the future. Climate change and nuclear obliteration are definite existential threats, I feel the human race can navigate through them. I feel we are currently accelerating at a pace never seen before in culture and especially technology and I see great things on the horizon in medicine, transport and increasing the well being of life in general.

On a side note this is highly unlikely for me I'm normally the first to side on pessimism but I see so much potential for the future that I can't help but feel optimistic

Based on those maps I'm moving to Sichuan.

I think that although life spans could potentially increase dramatically, most people will succumb to preventable diseases. However I think that the wellbeing of over 60's will significantly improve.

Knee deep in neo-feudalism in an economy trying to rebound from an inability to sustain true growth. Total fxcking blood bath. Like Retaking the Western Roman Empire from the Goths level bad, only with machine guns.

Then there'll be some titties.

So at least it ends well then.

Well, yeah. It's a time of investment if you think about it.
