Friday is coming faaast. Although a Liverpool vs Norwich opener at Anfield isn't too exciting ( unless something terrible happens to Liverpool and they fall apart ).

I wanna say I believe we can take the league this season. But I think City is still the team to beat.

NBC Sports went out on my cable 5 minutes into the Liverpool game and I almost freaked. Whipped out my phone fast enough to catch the first goal though. Good start for Liverpool!

actually hosted that man u-chelsea game at my house. some people did not leave happy.

flubbed a game to crystal palace at home. they did well by playing conservatively. we weren't looking our best out there either.

VAR is killing the game. 3 minutes to pull a Sheffield goal offside and then the images of how wrong they got it start making the rounds online.

Other leagues have implemented VAR without these huge breaks in time of the field and the ridiculous line drawing nonsense. Premier League really f*cked up on this.

you've got people watching the game from all sorts of angles. referees, linesmen, people in the video booth, you'd think they'd have worked on it before implementing it.

i'd say the premier league sucks at this. i've watched NFL games where they reviewed questionable calls faster. hopefully they improve on this.

Any comments on Manchester City getting banned from Champions League for next two seasons over FFP?
I'd liek to hear the British perspective on this, especially if there's a ManCity fan around ...

VAR has got a lot of criticism in Bundesliga as well. I don't really think they managed the implementation any better.

I think generally anyone who isn't a City fan finds it hilarious. The Premier League has like no connection to local communities anymore. There are probably more people upset about this in China than Manchester.

Saints are annoyingly inconsistent. Just surprised we are where we are after the Leicester match.

saying this as an EPL fan and not a man united fan. it will definitely cause some shock considering many people come to city thinking they'll get the best shot at winning the champions league because they have the most money of any club.

probably more fans abroad upset than locals to be honest, they've been through tougher times. remember when they were playing benjani up front?

also a 30 million pound fine to the man city owners is probably loose change they dropped between the couches. not that they shouldn't be fined, but you have to consider that these people can sit on the toilet all day and make more than we can make in a lifetime.

I don't think the fine will really hurt them but the 30 million isn't all; two seasons without CL will make for much more financial loss.

rumors are that pep and some city players might bounce after this season. it's in appeal and city can easily afford lawyers, so i'm interested to see where this goes.

So. Liverpool. Ridiculous really. Quickest end to a top flight English title race... ever. Not just premier league history. Ever. Mental.

Next season looks tasty. Chelsea and Man U look like they will push and City and Liverpool will still be up there.

Saints limping home to (hopefully) survival. 37 points. We are doing it the hard way and looking like total sh*t. Luckily every year there are always a couple of teams more pathetic than us (Although if West Brom and Leeds come up they are big clubs and will be competitive... we could be in trouble).

It looks like West Ham might free fall out of the top tier.

They have a much easier run in. I can see the Cherrys only picking up points against Saints and I don't think Villa have it in them either.

Just signed Llannnanana. Gulls better hope he can get over the injury problems and have the kind of successes Danny Ings has had at the Saints.
