no good games until october for united, sucks.

My optimism for next season is dependent on who is going to be replacing Puel.

Our start of the season seems to be fairly easy though. Wonder if we will get the chance to play the spoiler having City on the last day of the season.

The run in for Huddersfield is horrendous. Hopefully we're comfortable in mid table by then

I've always been a neutral when it comes to premier league. That of course changes now that Huddersfield have been promoted.

I always go for the underdogs like Bournemouth and Burnley and those that play nice football like Spurs and Southampton.

You could always pick a team based on your favourite colour

Or get FIFA/PES or Football Manager. It's easy to get attached a team you play as in games.

i was kind of leaning towards chelsea or arsenal just because i'm gonna be in london next year

but if i'm going by my favorite color then maybe chelsea might take it

is there a big time rivalry between those two teams such that it would be a bad idea to tell an arsenal fan you are a fan of chelsea?

There is quite a fierce rivalry between the two teams, as with all London clubs, but I think both teams feel more strongly towards Spurs than they do each other. You'll probably just get a bit of banter from whichever side you don't pick out of those two.

With the exception of last year, if you cheer for Arsenal, you get to celebrate St. Totteringham's Day too!

I think historically it was a much bigger rivalry but they've had varying success in more recent times and I don't think the rivalry is as bad as it once was.

Busy day in the transfer market for Huddersfield Town, today.

Tom Ince from Derby (undisclosed fee but reported around £10m)

Kasey Palmer back on loan from Chelsea

Danny Williams from Reading who was by far Reading's best player in the play off final.

football manager is super complicated, i think i've sunk 100+ hours into it. if you like micromanaging and spreadsheets you'll like it.

it's certainly helped me out as a coach though.

Brandon Lowery has passed away

He has been, and always will be, an inspiration to footballers and fans alike.

Arsenal are like the Red Sox. They have a bitter rivalry with Spurs because they were the works team from a munitions factory before they moved from South London right next door to Tottenham's ground. Then they became the richest club in England for many years. Nowdays they struggle to keep up because they don't throw so much money at players.

Chelsea are like the Cubs. It took them 50 years to win their first title and then they spent a lot of the next 50 years trying to stay in business. Then when they had rebuilt their ground and built up a good squad a Russian billionaire took over and took them to a new level. It's common for overseas visitors to support Chelsea most of their players are not British.

What a start! 3-0 win and top of the league. I'm still in dreamland from last season. Crazy stuff. Hopefully we can keep a good run at least until Christmas and hopefully have enough to stay up. Mounie looks like a great signing, hopefully he doesn't get injured.

Couldn't score against Swansea. This won't be a fun season.

Played well though just didn't put the chances away. Any other day and it could have been a rout. I wouldn't worry just yet.

Amazing result for Town today. I'm looking forward to hearing Mourinho's excuses on MOTD later. Back in the top half now I think. Next stop, Anfield.

pretty much had my face in my hands that day. if my players played that way, the locker room talk would be pretty fiery, and it takes quite a lot for me to lose my cool.

I think it was complacency. They expected a walk in the park. They realised (especially Martial) very quickly that they would have a fight on their hands and they didn't know what to do.

this is what i like about the premier league, more so than bundesliga or la liga or ligue 1. you can be top of the table and still get shocked by teams that are hovering at or around the relegation zone.
