Half joking aside (it's a Sundin throwback I need), I look forward to all the measured takes in Toronto tomorrow.

PLAN THE PARADE!

You should get that Sundin throwback, but also a Matthews centennial jersey. I really like the look of those.

I didn't watch this game - was Andersen shaky, or was this one down to defensive breakdowns? First game of the season, so I'm sure they were shaking off some cobwebs and it doesn't mean that much, I'm just curious.

Wasn't able to catch this game, either, unfortunately. Internet has been shaky past few days and I couldn't keep a solid stream.

Nylander is going to be pretty good too and also has a shot at the Calder if last year is any indication.

Sitting front row for Jackets vs Penguins next week.

Still waiting for the other shoe to drop, but until then...

Deleter whore success.

I was lucky enough to witness the Penguins beatdown in person. Crosby had a beautiful goal, and the game was staying even for a good while. At one point, right in front of us, he pretended to take an elbow from a player a few feet away and crumpled to the ground. Refs fell for it, and the crowd lost it. The Jackets instantly went into pissed mode and blew it up. 3 goals in 50ish seconds.

Sorry but it's only a matter of time before Torts implodes and brings the team down around him, he always does

So you're saying this all is...unsustainable?

Well except for that time he won a cup with Tampa...

(I dont like him, and don't by any means think that's how the CBJ season ends, but then I also didn't think they'd even sniff a playoff spot, so what do I know?)

but Tampa turned into a dumpster fire too, he is like Keenan good short term coach with a limited shelf life

I'm all for different teams winning, it's good for the league when someone other than the same old teams start playing well but Torts has proven time and again that his schtick wears out fast and when it does it goes downhill fast, i was surprised he was hired there in the first place!
1 yr ago, 3 mos ago - Saturday 12/31/16 - 1:19:04 PM EST (GMT-5)
No, of course you're right about Tampa eventually imploding. I'm just saying, CBJ might benefit from him through at least the end of this good season and a decent playoff performance (maybe they'll win a series!).
It's sort of like the argument about trades, or contracts, or deadline deals. If you win it all, who cares if the one-for-one trade looked lopsided at the time, or you paid a 3rd liner 5 million dollars, or you took a flyer on a formerly washed-up KHL star, etc.? Not that I have any examples from my own team or anything...

God dammit I hate that Shaw deal more every day...

How about that World Juniors though? All I saw were hearts on the ice everywhere after it was over.
1 yr ago, 3 mos ago - Monday 1/9/17 - 4:14:24 AM EST (GMT-5)
i hate the fkn shootout, its no way to crown a champion especially a tournament like the world juniors but have to give credit to the yanks, you guys played a good game

Sprat is happy tonight.
1 yr ago - Saturday 4/8/17 - 10:42:08 PM EST (GMT-5)
Congrats, Sprat.

Their matchup isn't set yet, right? They're in, but who they play first depends on tomorrow (Washington or Ottawa).
1 yr ago - Saturday 4/8/17 - 10:46:48 PM EST (GMT-5)

Thank you Birdie.

I believe if they get another point, it'll be the Battle of Ontario. Again.

And I would personally LOVE this match up.

Only tomorrow will tell. CBJ @ 6PM.

CBJ is trying to end the season on a seven game skid in order to give the Penguins overconfidence. Should be points in the bag.

Well, in the hole after one. Having the worst slump of the season at the very end appears to be a bad time to do so.

Should have slumped harder so the Rangers could pass into third place.

Geezus. One game doesn't make the series. Calm down. Miss.
