Let's hear some trash talk about college hoops!

Zona will continue the streak. Their class of freshman isn't as good as say Memphis' was a few years back, but it's good. Four top 100 recruits isn't bad at all and Nic Wise, while not a good NBA prospect is an excellent college PG. I think USC finishes last, especially with the evil Kevin O'Neill.

ASU lost too much in Harden and Pendergraph. I say they finish eighth.

UCLA wins in my mind, followed by Cal and Wazzu. Washington St. will really miss Tony Bennett in my eyes.

I'm only really qualified to talk about the Pac-10. In depth.

I think Kentucky is overrated. And though I love Pastner, Memphis is in for a fall.

Zona's recruiting class definitely makes their future interesting, and the PAC 10 is down so I could see them sneak in as a result of the league being crap. I just don't see it though. Wise is solid, but he just can't carry a team like Jason Terry did when the 97/98 teams lost all that talent to the pros.

Kentucky may be overrated, but it's hard to argue with Calipari's recent track record. And he's got 20 times the resources at UK than he ever did at Memphis.

That's a fair evaluation. I know it's going to be tough, most definitely. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't make it.

How about 'Cuse losing that exhibition game?

Man. Gonzaga and Memphis are going to end up pretty good. I kind of have to cheer for Memphis some because of Pastner now.

Zona has chance for the Pac-10 title!

Oh wait, I thought this was the College Football thread.
Wednesday 11/18/09 - 6:41:52 PM
Yeah, I was impressed with Memphis last night. Next year's obviously gonna be Pastner's first big haul, but the defensive intensity he's coached to this year's guys is amazing.
Thursday 11/19/09 - 3:26:15 PM
Do you root for the 'Huskers in basketball too? Because I'm curious if Doc Sadler can finally get them to the NIT finals this year.

Hey, UCLA lost to Cal State Fullerton, and Stanford lost at home to Oral Roberts. Oregon St. to Texas A&M Corpus Christi. I admit, at first I thought the CC meant community college and I thought it was novel for the Aggies to finally admit it. Alas, it wasn't the case. I say we can finish third and continue the streak.

Also, I'm almost giddy to see ASU get it handed to them by Duke. First and last time I will cheer for the Blue Devils.

Sadler's gonna have to work some magic this year. They already lost their top 3 scorers from last year and now their top big man is out with a knee.
