Thoughts on the upcoming debate?

Here are (some of) the questions I have:

How will Trump handle it if Biden isn't a slobbering fool and is able to stay on topic and speak coherently (with all the Trump build-up of his senility, etc.)?

How will Biden handle Trump regularly running fast/loose with facts and figures? Will Biden be shoot himself in the foot by calling out Trump and making himself look petty?

I wonder how much the moderator will be involved with 'Fact Checking' Trump during the debate. Candy Crowley isn't involved, is she?

Biden can only lose.
The Trump folks are going to vote for Trump no matter what nonsense he offers.
Those who are still undecided after having seen Trump perform for four years now will take any mistake by Biden much more seriously.

You are probably correct- - I think Biden is much more at risk in the debates.

I also think that to Trump supporters, the only outcome will be Trump winning - no matter how the conversation goes throughout the debate(s).

Isn't that the way it is with every candidate? Supporters always claim that their candidate won the debate...

I'm done with this defeatist attitude I keep seeing here and there.

Trump is not invincible and we shouldn't act as though he is. That's what he wants you to believe.

I predict Biden will lose his train of thought and will stumble around to find the right words to finish his sentence.

The polls numbers used to have Biden ahead. But now it's about even.

I think both are going to lose their train of thought- - Biden will stumble around to find the right words and Trump will just find words to finish something that resembles a sentence...

I'm far from believing that Trump has already won this. I just think that the debates are not the ground for Biden to win more support.

I somewhat agree, except for Trump's finish actually resembling a sentence - I expect it will more be a rambling mess of words without coherent thought.

...but it will contain words and probably end in a period- - just like a real sentence.

Usually a question mark or exclamation mark.

I see him pause a lot and then say Prab - urblee after a lot of utter bollocks.

Not three ellipses then...

Biden will be given a paper on what to say. If the paper doesn't cover it he will not answer. He will babble incoherently, as he always does.

The Democrats will make sure to make it as easy as possible for brain dead Biden.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Democrats make up some sort of weak excuse to get out of the debate.

Like wanting it fact checked?

Appears to be a successful way to win republican votes. Why not try it too?

Yet they won't do that with Biden will they? Dems will try to add special rules so Biden can escape anything he can't answer. Biden can't speak freely for more than a minute without falling apart.

Fact checking in real time has not worked out so well in the past...

Trump is demanding Biden take a drug test before/after the Tuesday debate
It's clear he's nervous about his fans seeing that actually, Biden isn't this doddering old fool that Trump has been caricaturing him as. The debate is on Fox News, so some Trumpers might actually tune in.
