Whitney Houston? notorious BIG?

Do these people know what rock and roll is?

What is rock and roll?

judas priest is one of my favorite bands of all time, glad to see them get a nomination. same with motorhead.

notorious BIG and whitney houston are questionable additions but there are already a lot of non-rock bands in the rock and roll hall of fame anyway.

Guys...the RRHoF has been inducting important artists from all genres for decades now. Get with the times.

Mmmh, it's probably right from an American point of view but for me seeing Pat Benatar and the Dave Matthews Band side by side with Depeche Mode, Judas Priest, Kraftwerk, MC5, Motörhead, Nine Inch Nails or Soundgarden just doesn't look like we're talking about the same league ...

I know this isn’t the first time, it just isn’t right. It’s like nominating The Beatles into the Rap music hall of fame.

with some of those names on there I don’t even know what the hall of game even means

shouldn’t it be where when you say the name of a band or a person most people agree that they were at the top of their game making some of the best music of their generation?

dave matthews band?
what?

Well these are the nominees, not the inductees. I think it's been the minimum number of years since DMB's first album, and that's probably why they're nominated. With this class, can't imagine they'll get in.

(Dave Matthews is easily the least talented member of the band that's named for him, but the actual band were incredibly talented)

Solely based on my personal preferences.

I'll have to vote Dave Matthews Band 3 times just to sway the vote...

nine inch nails, kraftwerk, Doobie Brothers

How's that for an odd assortment?
1 month ago - Wednesday 10/16/19 - 7:51:35 PM EST (GMT-5)
Doobie Brothers was my runner up.
1 month ago - Wednesday 10/16/19 - 7:55:21 PM EST (GMT-5)
I would actually vote for DMB.

Kraftwerk is a synth/new wave band from Germany that started in the early 70s. They're one of those acts that didnt exactly make it big themselves, but pioneered a new genre and have influenced basically any music that has used synths, from EDM to hip hop.
