There is approximately zero evidence of him ever telling the president no on anything. That's kind of my point.

*shrug* Correct. There is no direct evidence. I guess I'm going off a lot of commentary, and the reasons I think Kelly would leave or be asked to leave (outside of the non-stop increase of legal troubles for the administration and those surrounding it).

He did try (at least in the beginning) to maintain the same kind of structure that other administrations had. That is, prior to Kelly serving as COS, there was an open door type policy in the Oval Office. People could just stop by and visit Trump whenever they wanted.

Jelly required people to go through him, which is traditionally the way most administrations functioned.

I know it was an issue with a lot of people (and problematic b/c Trump Is easily influenced by the last person to speak to him on an issue regardless of their expertise), but it was particularly an issue with Omarosa. I remember reading that she frequently visited Trump so that she neglected whatever it was she was suppose to be working on, and people commented on not knowing what she actually worked on.

Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke to leave Trump administration at end of the year.
Does somebody have an overview of the staff members Trump originally chose and that are still in office?
Must be a rather short list, I presume.

Oh, and - contrary to the great border Wall - Mueller probe has paid for itself.

Trump Foundation to be shut down after lawsuit exposes "a pattern of illegality"

I'm hoping this is just setting precedent for shutting down the administration for the same reasons.

Can't be trusted to run a charitable foundation, but we have a subset of mouth breathers who think he can run the country.

The Trump campaign funneled money to ad buyers alleged to have facilitated illegal coordination between the campaign and the NRA by routing funds through a secretive LLC that appears to be little more than a shell company, an investigation by the Center for Responsive Politics has found.

In news that surprised absolutely no one, crooks continued to be crooks after being elected.

it's a shame, i actually admire general mattis for his military experience and leadership.

lol turns out that's what happens when the president you serve is a mercurial man-baby who makes military and national security proclamations via rage-tweets from the toilet, without consulting with (or even giving a heads up to) his military and natsec advisers:

Well Mattis is on that list.

Some of the people working in the WH are still there. Kellyanne, Ivanka and Jared, probably some lower-level people whose names we don't even know.

Sarah Sanders didn't start as press sec (she was promoted after Spicer left), but I think she's been in the comms office since the beginning in some capacity.

There are cabinet-level officials who are still there, but yeah...the turnover has been MASSIVE, by the standards of any previous administration.

Ryan Zinke (Secy. of Interior) has resigned since Nov. 2018. I can't remember when Nikki Haley resigned as UN Ambassador, but it was recent.

The other important part is *why* people resigned. A whoooole lot of Trump appointees have left because of scandals, ethics violations/investigations, or because they got so fed up with him they couldn't stand it anymore (like Mattis).

Daaaaaamn.

I just read Mattis's resignation letter.

It is, quite honestly, the most politely-worded "get f*cked, you crazy asshole" I've ever read.

"My views on treating allies with respect and also being clear eyed about both malign actors and strategic competitors are strongly held and informed by over four decades of immersion in these issues.”

Following paragraph:
"Because you have the right to have a secretary of defense whose views are better aligned with yours on these and other subjects, I believe it is right for me to step down from my position."
