U.S. President Donald Trump will recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital on Wednesday despite intense Arab, Muslim and European opposition to a move that would upend decades of U.S. policy and risk potentially violent protests.

Trump will instruct the U.S. State Department to begin the multi-year process of moving the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to the holy city, U.S. officials said Tuesday. It remains unclear, however, when he might take that physical step, which is required by U.S. law but has been waived on national security grounds for more than two decades.

Prediction: Eh. It will take years to build the new embassy. By that time this dratnut will be history and the next guy will reverse the decision before it can ever be used. In the meantime, protests stabbings bombings shootings and beatings.

But trump loves that action movie type of diplomacy.

Well, he's true to his word. He said he would do this, and he's doing it.

« Because I can » is rarely a good political motivation.

i know a president can't keep all of their promises. but he's doing better than expected on that front.

I especially like how he repealed Obama care and built the wall.

I don't see how you get better than expected except for no one expected much out of that blowhard.

Here's some links because I'm tired of typing

Really, with the zero major legislative achievements he's had this year, despite his party controlling not just the White House, but both houses of Congress?

Nevermind. What counts is that he does what he said he would do. What that actually means isn't the point.

His "party" is full of RINOs.

Yeah if there's one thing I can say about congressional Republicans it's that they're extremely willing to stand up to Trump in a real and meaningful way.

Lots of protests

As everyone with half a brain knew there would be. So I'm sure it comes as a surprise to Trump and his followers.

God forbid you read critically and assess bias of your authors before posting a link.

The issue really isn't the bias, it's just that it's biased against the position you favor...
