"The Supreme Court is allowing the Trump administration to fully enforce a ban on travel to the United States by residents of six mostly Muslim countries.

The justices, with two dissenting votes, said Monday that the policy can take full effect even as legal challenges against it make their way through the courts. The action suggests the high court could uphold the latest version of the ban that Trump announced in September."

The rest of the world should impose a travel ban on Trump and his family.

Is scotus saying the ban goes on, or is it saying the ban goes on until Wisconsin and Hawaii appeals are settled?

It sounded to me like the ban goes on until the lower courts are settled.

No. It means the ban is allowed to be in effect until the Supreme Court hears the challenges.

Hooray! The Syrian lady in my mom's office won't be able to bring her dangerous, elderly parents here!

This is not a final ruling on the travel ban: Challenges to the policy are winding through the federal courts, and the justices themselves ultimately are expected to rule on its legality.

Isn't that what I said?

I was responding to Abzurd.

OK- - the 'no' made me think you were disputing my comment.

Even though she was saying the exact same thing.

You have a problem.

Hence my confusion...

You are easily confused. A bit too regularly I think.

After at least 16 years experience of posting on forums I would think you could work it out from the narrow timescale of the posts, or are you really that egocentric and paranoid?

Abz asked his question as an 'either or', not a 'yes or no', so I thought the 'no' was directed at my comment, but she went on with what sounded like the same thing I said, so I questioned it, thinking that I may have missed something.

You are far too robotic.

I can see why it would look confusing. I just hadn't refreshed the page in a few minutes, and CowDung's post wasn't there yet.

It's common for CD to point out any possible alternative and bang on about it for 20 pages just because there isn't a 100% answer one way or another.

Like a computor program frozen on constant loop.

It might be "confusing" but the human brain should be able to figure out simple conflicts like that for itself. So I guess he just has nothing better to do than look for petty details to troll over.

By the number of posts you have made about me and my comment, it looks like you are the one with nothing better to do than look for petty details to troll over...

It doesn't require anything like the same amount of effort or mental masturbation than most of your epic battles for fundamantalist recognition of literal possibilities.

Perhaps you are a dementia sufferer who seeks to keep their mind active. That at least would make sense.

How much of your economy is dependent on tourism?
I think ours is a lot.
