'Accused' being the opportune word there.

1. I think you mean 'operative' word

2. The accusations are very credible, the original reporting is well-sourced, and more accusers continue to come forward basically every day.

How many people came forward to accuse Franken? I thought it was only the one...

Sooo...Roger Stone, the self-proclaimed master of political dirty tricks (and tbh, that title is well-deserved; the guy is the worst kind of scum), apparently knew this announcement was coming about 12 hours ahead of time. Very curious.

14 women (at least) have accused the president of sexual assault or harassment. He is still president.

11 dem senators calling for Frankenstein resignation. More continue to roll in. Ok it’s 14 senators now.

With Moore re-backed, it's the easiest win possible. Bye bye Franken.

Ha didn’t see it correct to Frankenstein.

It’s 20 dems now that’s nearly half of them.

I want know what the behind the seens was on this.

I have to assume conyers leaving didn’t help his case.

I’m assuming it’s a combo of trying to regain the moral high ground and potentially something bigger coming down the pipeline.

This may force the senate Rs to deal with with Moore.

Franken is expected to resign Thursday.

"A top Senate Democrat says he expects Sen. Al Franken to resign Thursday over allegations of sexual misconduct. Another woman has come forward with accusations against the Minnesota Democrat of sexual misconduct.

In a tweet on Wednesday, Sen. Ron Wyden of Oregon said: “I expect that Senator Franken will announce his resignation tomorrow.” Wyden tweeted that “It is the right thing to do given this series of serious allegations.”"

The number is up to 30 dem senators.

They should really just push that announcement to tonight.

Agreed.

Fxcker is giving Minnesota a bad name. I'm really disappointed about him. We can do better than a piece of shxt like this.

Do you think it’s to their advantage to bury this in this news cycle or should they wait until Jerusalem stops exploding?

Just to point out - it all started with a group of female senators who made a coordinated announcement. Zero male senators said boo about him resigning until the women did.
Gillibrand, McCaskill, Hirono, Hassan, Harris, Murray, Baldwin.

And it was timed with the announcement of legislation to get rid of mandatory arbitration clauses in sexual harassment cases (which prevent victims from being able to sue their abusers in court).

I’m wondering if Franken has settled anything.

4 days ago - Wednesday 12/6/17 - 4:54:01 PM EST (GMT-5)
Don't know. But I want a full accounting of every member of congress who's ever settled a harassment claim. And I want to know whether they used tax dollars to pay the settlement, like Blake Farenthold of TX did.
4 days ago - Wednesday 12/6/17 - 5:06:45 PM EST (GMT-5)
Looks like CBS confirmed Farenthold is the only member to have used that fund to settle a sexual harassment claim since 2013, anyway.

“At the time of the settlement, Greene's attorney, Les Alderman, confirmed in a statement that both parties had reached a deal to save taxpayer dollars.“

Another way to save taxpayer dollars Is to not use them to settle your sexual harassment lawsuit.

Also has he resigned? He should.
4 days ago - Wednesday 12/6/17 - 5:53:51 PM EST (GMT-5)
No he hasn't, and to my knowledge, no member of his party has called for him to.
