President Trump’s eldest son occasionally exchanged private messages with WikiLeaks on Twitter before the 2016 election, Donald Trump Jr. confirmed on Monday.

The WikiLeaks Twitter account sent a direct message to Trump Jr. in late September 2016 alerting him that an anti-Trump site run by a political action committee (PAC) was “about to launch.” The message offered the password to the site.

"The PAC is a recycled pro-Iraq war PAC. We have guessed the password. It is ‘putintrump.’ See ‘About’ for who is behind it. Any comments?" WikiLeaks wrote, as first reported by The Atlantic.

“Off the record I don’t know who that is, but I’ll ask around,” Trump Jr. responded to the account the following day. It is unclear if he followed through with the offer.

I was waiting for this post.

How hard is it to say, “Not interested” then block them.

Also who the hell set up that password, someone’s grandma? It could only be worse if the password was password.

Original reporting from The Atlantic (a better publication than The Hill, and also, Julia Ioffe should get the credit for this).

From their reporting, it's obvious that if you still believe WikiLeaks was in any way impartial and not pro-Trump, you're either an idiot, or willfully ignorant.
Don Jr. may not have responded to WLs' messages all that often, but the timelines laid out in the Atlantic article tell the real story.

Better publication because it slants toward your politics?

27 days ago - Monday 11/13/17 - 9:14:42 PM EST (GMT-5)
Better because it has higher journalistic standards and doesn't just re-print stories that were originally reported in other publications. Like this one.

The hill is slanted pretty left, but it has been known to have mixed factual content. The Atlantic is also kinda left, but it puts out constant factual material.

The Atlantic also does their own research and reporting, which was my entire point in posting the link to this story. The person who did the legwork ought to get the credit and the readers. The Hill story is just "this happened, per The Atlantic reporting." There's no paywall, so you might as well read the actual Atlantic reporting.

Yep, leans left.

Anyway, point being, if you're reading something that consistently quotes another news source as the source of their information, you really ought to just go read that news source instead.

(This is the chart that I was sort of referring to... its super serious I'm aware)

He only responded 3 times. One specific about some upcoming leaks that were supposed to happen.

Seriously though the leaking problem while it delights me with news to fill my day with is really out of hand.

I’m assuming it’s being done because partisan bickering is keeping some of the investigations from going anywhere.

I know everyone is going to say yeah but this proves nothing, but it sure as hell puts egg on Don Jr’s face again.

The comments from trump junior to Wikileaks as releaes jr himself tweet

Two days after wiki leaks message saying the should tweet the link trump junior tweets this the link Wikileaks DMed him.

Could be coincidence, but really?

I would call that extremely charitable to certain publications. WND, Breitbart, etc.
And while I agree that outlets like Vox are certainly liberal-leaning, I wouldn't go so far as to call them garbage. From a purely factual standpoint, I've taken extreme issue with one of their articles, and it wasn't even political (it was about music theory, lol).
I would be very interested in knowing the political leanings of the person who made that chart, because I've seen other, similar charts that seemed more reasonable.

I went in for an x-ray at the VA and the X-ray tech was watching info wars on his computer.

After the x-ray he told me to check out some anti-vaxer documentaries and said his son was autistic because vaccines “fry your brain” and that soon there would be vaccination police coming for us.

I know a lot of va workers are former military, and I don’t know if this guy was but if vaccines make people autistic the army better waych out because the vaccinate us ever chance they got.

Can you refuse them?
27 days ago - Monday 11/13/17 - 10:02:42 PM EST (GMT-5)
I could have left but had to mak a 45 min trip out there since I can’t get walk in X-rays at my community out patient clinic and the wait was line 4 weeks for an appointment. I need them to get an ortho consultation so I bit the bullet.

This is the first time since I started va medical care that i’ve Been more than 20 mins from a chance hospital.

The care here is more comprehensive as you have few patients, but it takes way longer to get appointments.

This will be a big factor when choosing anywhere else I move from here on out.

No, I think she meant can you refuse the vaccinations the military gives you.
27 days ago - Monday 11/13/17 - 10:32:00 PM EST (GMT-5)
Oh, there might be some religious exemption. But I just went with it.

We got some at basic, then quite a few more prior to deployment.

The worst of which was the small pox vaccine where they dip a needle in something then stab you with it like 20 times. Nifty little scar though.

I heard the malaria prophylaxis could be pretty nasty for some people. But I think that's a pill, not a shot.
27 days ago - Monday 11/13/17 - 10:38:39 PM EST (GMT-5)
I’ll be honest I don’t know what half of them were. It’s all in my service treatment record in case 30 years from now we all start dying and the military fesses up to something.

You have to get the malaria vaccine if you're going somewhere where it's prevalent.

"Malaria kills one child every 30 seconds, about 3000 children every day. Over one million people die from malaria each year, mostly children under five years of age, with 90 per cent of malaria cases occurring in Sub-Saharan Africa. An estimated 300-600 million people suffer from malaria each year."

If you have a reaction to the malaria pill, it can be really messy. A friend told me about her experience, and it was equally horrifying and hilarious.

i'm actually interested in seeing how many healthcare professionals are anti-vaxxers. usually people who go through that much education should know better.

Well I know one thing that really bothered me about one of the early GOP primary debates was an exchange about vaccines.
Trump said some bullsh*t science-free nonsense about them causing autism, etc., and Ben Carson stood there and agreed with him rather than correcting it.

Jared just can't stop lying on his disclosures...
https://www.washingtonpost.com/powe...

"President Trump’s adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner received and forwarded emails about WikiLeaks and a “Russian backdoor overture and dinner invite” that he kept from Senate Judiciary Committee investigators, according to panel leaders demanding that he produce the missing records.

Committee Chairman Charles E. Grassley (R-Iowa) and ranking member Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) sent a letter to Kushner’s lawyer Abbe Lowell on Thursday charging that Kushner has failed to disclose several documents, records and transcripts in response to multiple inquiries from committee investigators."

ProTip: when you know other people are cooperating with an investigation, and have turned over documents that involve you, it's very stupid to try and keep those documents from the people investigating. They will find out and not be happy about it.

This man should not still have a security clearance.
