Also, a whole bunch of AL GOP officials have already said they'll vote for Moore *even if the allegations were definitely true.*
I guess they subscribe to the CowDung school of thought that it doesn't matter if you sexually abuse children, as long as you'll vote to raise middle-class taxes and take away people's health care.

Oh and BIG surprise - when he was a judge, he was lenient in sexual abuse cases:
"In a 2015 case involving a man, David Pittman, who pleaded guilty to raping an underage girl, Mr. Moore wrote in a dissenting opinion that Mr. Pittman should have been allowed to introduce evidence showing his alleged victim’s parents “suspected her of sexual activity,” because it could be relevant to discerning her “alleged motive” in claiming she had been assaulted."
So, the "she was a wh*re" defense.

"And in a 2014 case, involving a man convicted of abusing two underage girls, Mr. Moore wrote in a dissenting opinion that the man, Sherman Tate, should have had the chance in court to demonstrate that his accusers were romantically involved with each other."
So, "they were sl*ts, and also LESBIANS."

What a piece of sht.

The party of "morals" sure does have some disgusting members, eh?

How old was Mary when God knocked her up?

Maybe you should put the can opener away, nothing but worms inside.

I’m not surprised about support even if true from the state gop officials.

What I hope is that the people have some scruples and write someone in, like Luther Strange.

Especially if the by product is a split republican electorate and a Doug jones win.

See- - all you seem to really care about is the politics.

Again, the fact that he's a senate candidate is what *makes this news* to anyone outside the local area where he/the accuser live. If you're trying to claim I don't care about child sexual abuse unless it's politically expedient, then you can absolutely go f*ck yourself. But the fact that he's a candidate for office is what makes this specific case relevant to any of us.

...and Clinton's pattern of sexual assault and harassment wasn't an issue with his ability to be President, was it?

I care about the crime, but i’ll not lie and say i’m not pleased with the potential political consequences.

And your evidence of Clinton trying to hump children is...?

Nice try for a deflection, but sexual perversion seems to be a primarily conservative issue. Here and in the US. Is it the private education, the tendency towards psychopathy or just an overwhelming sense of entitlement?
11 days ago - Thursday 11/9/17 - 7:31:55 PM EST (GMT-5)
I was 10 when Clinton was elected so I didn’t a horse in that race.

Obviously his sexual conduct was an issue as he was ultimately impeached which is a political process not legal.
11 days ago - Thursday 11/9/17 - 7:38:23 PM EST (GMT-5)
He didn't get impeached for boning Monica Lewinsky, he got impeached for lying about it.
11 days ago - Thursday 11/9/17 - 7:58:11 PM EST (GMT-5)
Because they couldn’t impeach him for it, which they would have if they could have. It was still a political problem.
11 days ago - Thursday 11/9/17 - 8:17:30 PM EST (GMT-5)
And now Ken Starr has had to resign his presidency/chancellorship at Baylor because they had a big sexual assault problem in the football program, which he helped cover up for years.

So sexual predators are only bad when they victimize children?

My point is that one's job should be separate from their 'outside the job' activities...

So it doesn't matter to you if someone preys on children, as long as they don't do it at work.
11 days ago - Thursday 11/9/17 - 9:27:39 PM EST (GMT-5)
It is just unfathomable to me that you're perfectly fine with elevating someone like that to a position of such enormous power.

I hope all the women in your life realize you're no ally to them in the event they're sexually assaulted. I would hate for anyone to make the mistake of putting their trust in you.

That's not what I am saying.

If they are violating the law, it is a legal matter- - not an employment matter.

Just like everyone that stood up for Clinton remaining as President when he was accused of sexual assault?

It is, though. You think it's fine for someone like that to be elevated to national public office.

I don't believe that it makes him unable to legislate effectively, and he should be able to do his job as a Senator.

Do you think Clinton should have been removed from office after he was accused of sexual assault?
11 days ago - Thursday 11/9/17 - 10:00:23 PM EST (GMT-5)
You can't keep claiming it's "an employment matter." He isn't being fired or asked to resign from a position he already holds. He's asking people to trust him with representing them as one of only two senators from their state. His horrific personal conduct is absolutely fair game for weighing whether or not he deserves that trust. You have consistently said that he does (or at least if he doesn't, it isn't because of this).
11 days ago - Thursday 11/9/17 - 10:03:36 PM EST (GMT-5)
You don't want him to even stand for election- - you want him to withdraw as a candidate.

Asking him to step aside from an election where he is the heavy favorite to win, is pretty much the same thing as being asked to resign from the position.

11 days ago - Thursday 11/9/17 - 10:06:30 PM EST (GMT-5)
Yes. Morally, it is inappropriate for someone who preys on children to hold the kind of power he would have. Someone like that has no business in the senate. It's absolutely f*cking despicable to say it "doesn't matter." He preyed on children. That matters.
11 days ago - Thursday 11/9/17 - 10:08:12 PM EST (GMT-5)
A not-insignificant percentage of the Republican Party is defending a f*cking child molester. You people have lost your god damn minds, end of story.
