Apparently according to the Alabama Secretary of State it is too late to remove him from the ballot so if he steps aside or the Alabama Republican Party pulls his candidacy votes for him would not be certified. So the only way a republican could win would be through a write in campaign.

If the democrat wins that is going to make it that much harder for them to get anything to pass.

...or maybe Roman Polanski.

You're welcome to try and find any instance where I defended Weinstein's actions (and although I don't remember seeing that any of his victims were underage, it wouldn't surprise me).

I also haven't defended Polanski giving champagne and drugs to an underage girl and then having sex with her. I HAVE stated (accurately) that his victim has said on multiple occasions, as an adult, that she doesn't have any hard feelings against him, and wouldn't like to see him prosecuted further.

Meanwhile, instead of saying that this is wrong, and he should step out of the senate race, you're in here making sh*tty anti-Muslim jokes.

...it seems to me that you care more about him stepping out of the senate race than the allegations against him.

That's really interesting...I wasn't actually sure when their election was (I wonder why they didn't have it yesterday - even though it's a special election to replace Sessions, it's been months since he was confirmed).

I guess we're about to find out whether being a sexual predator is more important to the GOP than trying to pass tax breaks for rich people.

The tora and the Bible are clearly superior when it comes to matters of morality /s

Well unless he's STILL grooming 14-year-olds (which no one yet has claimed he is), that would be the relevance to current events.

I mean a story about just some random old pervert trying to f*ck teenage girls doesn't make it into the Washington Post.

It certainly wouldn't be the first time that a news outlet tried to smear a Republican...

I can't keep up with your shifting arguments. Are you now saying the women are all lying, and this is fake news?

I don't know, but isn't it premature for him to step aside without being convicted of any wrongdoing? Innocent until proven guilty, no?

LMAO

Holy. Sh*t. They really, truly ARE using the bible to try and defend this. I'm actually shocked.

From AL State Auditor Jim Ziegler:
"Take Joseph and Mary. Mary was a teenager and Joseph was an adult carpenter. They became parents of Jesus."

No one is putting him in prison, are they? So he's still presumed innocent under the law.
That doesn't mean he deserves to be a senator. But keep defending a pedophile - it's definitely a good look for you.

I think I'm fairly consistent in defending one's right to not lose their job because of some activity that is unrelated to their job.

Aside from how gross it is to defend an adult man trying to have sex with teenage girls, apparently this absolute genius also managed to forget about the virgin birth.

He doesn't have the job yet. But keep defending a pedophile's right to be a U.S. senator.

Again, has he been convicted of pedophilia?

...and even if he had, why does that necessarily disqualify him from being an effective US Senator?

Where was CD's outrage when Kevin Spacey was let go from House of Cards? Or when Weinstein was kicked out of the Academy?

Spacey was accused of harassment by current House of Cards castmembers. He wasn't dismissed because of something he allegedly did 40 years ago.

I also believe that Spacey has not denied the accusations, but rather admitted to them and entered a rehab program.
