Corey Feldman, who last week announced a campaign to fund a movie about alleged pedophiles in Hollywood, had to work to get his message across on the "Today" show Monday morning. Matt Lauer challenged Feldman's claim that he needs $10 million to make that film.

Is he casting Kevin Spacey to play the lead?

Is he finally going to name Michael Jackson.

I feel this is pretty reprehensible, but I guess Corey gotta eat.

He's hinted around at this forever, but he's willing to name names if he gets $10 mil.

You can't trust people like this.

He can spit out the names right now for free.

This seems to be taken a little out of context. Part of the reason he's saying he can't release names is because there could be legal trouble for him (which is true). Funding his movie and getting that money would at least allow him to retain a good lawyer to defend against that.

He went to the police in the early '90s, and says he named names at that time, but they didn't investigate. So it's been more than "hinting around" for a long time.

It would still be less costly if we could get a few people to watch full series of shows like 30 Rock and Family Guy.

They've been outing nearly all of these people for years...just in cutesy dodgy ways via jokes.

Does he really need to make a film about it? Why not just fundraise for legal help and write an article or a book?

or hell, just use twitter. This is the absolute best time for him to out anyone. In the recent flurry of allegations, doesn't seem like anyone is legally retaliating against whistleblowers.

Bill O'Reilly filed a defamation lawsuit over a harassment allegation just last week.

ok, so that's starting. f*cking o'reilly, I hope his deep pockets can't save him.

Hmmm, it's a difficult situation for sure. Bad to keep secrets but then again, not ok to try people in the media either without legal representation.

I'm not clear on Feldman's reasoning that an expensive documentary is somehow the best way to name and shame. Doesn't seem to offer any additional protections. ??

It's because Feldman is an idiot.

he was in my city with his band last week
I almost went just to see the train wreck
he got arrested the next day on marijuana possession and he thinks that’s part of a conspiracy against him?

I don’t think any documentary or film made by him will handle the subject matter probably in the way it needs to be handled
it seems like a really bad idea

I mean as far as additional protections, the profits from a documentary would probably go a long way toward hiring a good lawyer.

Plus, maybe he thinks a film would have more staying power in people's minds than a news story that might stay in the forefront for 1-2 days.

Maybe he's trying to be the next Michael Moore...

...but not as fat.

I don't think for a second that Feldman is trying to be smart.

i'm pretty sure he said something the along the lines of michael jackson being one of the few pure ones out there, which i'm apt to believe. he might have been a weirdo who had a fondness for children but i think it was more like peer/friendship than sexual in nature.

He’s said that Michael wasn’t one every time he’s been asked.

Men can't like children without being perverts, don't you know?

It’s still weird for a grown man to hang out with kids, unless they’re his own.

It must be part of the plan to combat male privilege...

Do you have a problem with male teachers, daycare workers, neonatal nurses, etc.?

These are occupations, but ones that men sometimes choose.

Did you ever see the suspicious looks a male gets from the moms when he's at a playground? They likely don't have any problem with males being teachers, nurses, etc, but it doesn't prevent them from thinking it weird for a man to be at a playground watching his kids play...
