WASHINGTON — At least six of President Trump’s closest advisers occasionally used private email addresses to discuss White House matters, current and former officials said on Monday.

The disclosures came a day after news surfaced that Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law and adviser, used a private email account to send or receive about 100 work-related emails during the administration’s first seven months. But Mr. Kushner was not alone. Stephen K. Bannon, the former chief White House strategist, and Reince Priebus, the former chief of staff, also occasionally used private email addresses. Other advisers, including Gary D. Cohn and Stephen Miller, sent or received at least a few emails on personal accounts, officials said.

I really don't care about this

I'm just trying to understand why they are this stupid to do something that they spent months denigrating someone else for doing
you would think they'd at least have the sense to use official emails

It's because they're stupid.

I think you answered your own question.

As to caring about this—I care way more about Mike Pence using his f*cking AOL EMAIL to conduct government business in Indiana (and then of course his ridiculous hypocrisy about it). He actually was compromised, and a bunch of fraudulent fundraising emails were sent from that account.

Also in email news:
Kushner's lawyer fell for a prankster claiming to be Jared
"Abbe Lowell, a top Washington lawyer, exchanged emails on Monday with a prankster posing as his client Jared Kushner, at one point telling the prankster he needed to see "all emails" sent and received from a private email account Kushner had set up in December.
[…]
Lowell's exchange with the man posing as Kushner marks the second time this month that a top lawyer representing a senior White House official corresponded with the prankster thinking he was a colleague or client. The White House special counsel, Ty Cobb, disclosed information about the FBI's Russia investigation to the prankster earlier this month thinking he was the White House social-media director, Dan Scavino."

I didn’t care that Hillary used a personal e-mail. Or that she had a private server. The federal systems suck.

My issues are with making sure any method used preserves records according to the federal records act and ensuring that any classified are handled properly.

If they are not I want those people to see the proper punishment.

I don’t care if you were an out going democrat, incoming republican or long serving beruacrat of any affiliation. Follow the rules as you would have your subordinates do.

I do appreciate the pointing out of hipocrisy when it happens on either side though.

Lol this f*cking Guy.

You know. You just pretend it’s even remotely the same, when you know it’s not.

Well, you see, Hillary is an evil Democrat with a vagina.

Huge difference.

Bingo.

And the fact that this wasn’t confidential or top secret state information being passed along on private servers by the actual politician.

“Officials are supposed to use government emails for their official duties so their conversations are available to the public and those conducting oversight. But it is not illegal for White House officials to use private email accounts as long as they forward work-related messages to their work accounts so they can be preserved.”-from the article itself.

And I suppose you just give Trump's advisers the benefit of the doubt that they've turned over everything potentially work-related.

I mean it's not like a bunch of them have done things like lie on their financial disclosure forms, omitting millions of dollars worth of holdings and debts.
Or lied about (omitted) foreign contacts before and after the election, which is definitely a felony.
Or been dismissed from their positions in the administration when it became publicly known that they were acting as agents of foreign governments without properly registering as such.

Nah, honorable bunch, this.
