It's just the fact that you voted, even knowing your vote was most likely against the side that would win
Imo, when people talk about "true patriots"/"true Americans", it's people who do everything in their power to fight for what they truly believe is best for our country

Of the last 4 presidential elections, I've lived in SC for two, WA for one, and FL for one.

So for just one election did my presidential vote *actually* matter. Which is ridiculous.

The electoral college is a stupid system and I'm positive that if Trump had won the popular vote by 3 million but lost the electoral vote, he'd be tweeting about how the system is rigged and inciting people to question the validity of the election. Which HRC has not done.

Did "lefty California" vote for Hillary and give her a popular vote edge? Sure. Is California a part of America? Whether you like how it happened or not, Red's right. Clinton got the majority of votes.

Yeah, but there's no guarantee the popular vote would have gone her way of it were a popular vote election.

Clinton did get the majority of votes- - but that majority really doesn't really represent the whole of the US (which is what Red was claiming).

...and the single state popular vote margin that Clinton enjoyed is exactly why we have an Electoral College system.

I think it's a shame this is just fueling people's distraction from the important issues that are going down.

That is, as you know, a false equivilent.

If you were for example, performing in a play and I watched it, I wouldn't think you were a liar, no.

As I said, I really don't care what Meryl Streep said, not because she's a "professional liar", but because I'm just not that interested in celebrity opinion. Contrary to what seems to be an emerging norm, I still quite like to listen to experts.

What I raise an eyebrow at, is not what she said, but how Donald Trump responded.

Donald Trump is what happens when you no longer let adults slap the shxt out of each other.

I said "slap the shxt out of" not "roll around on the ground until you both get bored of punching each other's dicks." I'm fine with MMA, I just wish it was less geared towards dick punching.

i think what's good here is that the media has its eyes on donald trump and he can't do shady stuff without people finding out. under HRC we wouldn't have that level of scrutiny to hold our public officials accountable, since basically almost every media outlet was saying trump couldn't win.

I voted in MD and never once in 7 years did something or someone I voted for win. I did it as sort of a protest, and to wake up the ballot folks. I'd walk in and they'd ask which party. It always seem to wake them up a little when I said republican.

i voted republican for house, senate and local offices, gary johnson for president. some people seem to forget that voting goes beyond president. what surprised me is how CA voters chose to keep the death penalty. i guess everyone was distracted by the promise of legal weed and forgot there were other initiatives as well.

i wish more people took the time to go over the ballot initiatives. i remember in my high school government class, our teacher taught us about them, had us write an essay about one of them and explain whether we were for or against it.

Not frequently. Mostly because I've seen a few videos that were like "watch this 2 minute sick punching festival." Maybe it's from some little alt league where that's okay? I dunno. It was enough to make the say, yeah, why bother?

There's actually a pretty extensive list of rules and regs, which definitely includes no dick punching.
