1. Female - From my Childhood but it would have to be Lyra from His Dark Materials, I really loved the way she was written.
2. Male - Bazarov from Fathers and Sons, he is a contradictory knobhead with lofty ideals he can't live up to.... He reminds me of me
3. Non-Human - Easily the Monkey King from Journey to West!
4 - 5 - 6 - No good books have heroes or villans

I hope this isn't some secret market research, Sleepy. You should let us know beforehand or at least let us see the results.

Female - Lisbeth Salander from Stieg Larson’s Millennium series - She's fantastically intelligent, able to get out of almost any situation and yet socially inept and alternative. What's not to love!

2. Locke Lamora from Scott Lynch’s Gentleman Bastards series - A risk taker, focused, cares for his friends, quick-thinking, wily, dramatic and snarky. He is compelling and fascinating.

3. Non-human - Death from Terry Pratchett’s Discworld - Funny, calm and collected, kind, honourable. You’ve got to love a guy who speaks in all caps.

4. Hero - Falcio val Mond from Sebastien de Castell’s Greatcoats series - Idealistic, self-deprecating, funny, kind but with a strong streak of madness. I fell in love with him immediately.

5. Villain - Ubba and Ivar Lothbrok from Bernard Cornwell’s Warrior Chronicles - Brash and patient, passionate and calculating. They are a study of opposites united by violence and hatred.

6. Anti-hero - Ringil Eskiath from Richard Morgan’s A Land Fit for Heroes series - Snarky, violent, quick-thinking, self-serving at times however he can't help but do the right thing.

Uhtred of Bebbanberg from Bernard Cornwell’s Warrior Chronicles - Bold, brave, brash, violent and at times cruel. He’s like a huge puppy you can't help but love.

Well, I assume we're talking about book characters since this is in the Lit forum. Though I suppose it could be the same character in a movie if the book has been made into a movie. So, I'll try my best. I never pass up a survey.

1. Favorite female character?
**I would have to go with Sadie in 11-22-63. In some ways, she reminds me of myself. She also made me laugh, especially when she displayed her klutziness which I can relate to.

2. Favorite male character?
**Jake from the same book because of his bravery and his adventurous nature.

3. Favorite non-human character?
**Saphira the dragon from the Eragon trilogy because of her magnificence.

4. Favorite hero?
**Jesus Christ in the Left Behind Series (yes, I know I'm setting myself up for ridicule which will be ignored).

5. Favorite villain?
**I'd have to go with Nicolae Carpathia aka the Antichrist from Left Behind. Not that I would say I actually LIKE any villain, but hey. I gotta hand it to him. He gave it the old college try. And even though I knew who would rise victorious in the end, I hope the good Lord doesn't mind my saying so, I'd have to say he gave Jesus a run for his money.

6. Favorite anti-hero?
**Wouldn't that be the same thing as a villain? Or is it considered more someone who is pro-villain? If you mean that, then I would go with Leon Fortunato from LB. Pretty much just because he was a second-class version of Nicolae.

no, a anti-hero is a benevolent character that doesn't show all the characteristics pf the traditional hero.
Luke Skywalker is a hero.
Han Solo is an anti-hero.

He was the guy that Puss in Boots said he worked for, instead of the miller's son he actually worked for in the Perrault original fairytale.
