So I think it'll be great to have an art thread.

Can a mod explain the rule of art naughty bits.

1. Can we post any?

2. Can we link to any?

3. If not: srsly, c'mon?

4. if -SRSLY- (eyeroll), can we just post the title of it and name of artist and someone can go and search for it?

No art naughty bits posted.

You can link to it, as long as you state what you're linking to - nips, complete nudity, lifelike nudity, etc - so people at work and at school can choose whether they want to click.

In the case of nudes engaged in any kind of sexual act, I would check with a mod before linking to it.

From the RoC:

* P*rn (Posting OR linking to p*rn, (also do not write out the url to p*rn sites). It is okay to link to a non-PG13 site, as long as it does not contain p*rn, and as long as you warn members ahead of time the type of site that your link leads to.)

If it is a nude engaged in a sexual act, you can name it and ask others to look it up, as long as it doesn't contain an uncensored swearword, or non PG13 text.

If in doubt, check with a mod.

Oh, and spoiling is not the same as linking. It's a question of what's hosted on the site and what isn't.

All of this sucks, but there you go.

Hrm. Possible boobies.

Okay; repost:

I was on the WIkiart site, and I look up the tag 'cats', because I stumbled across Balthus and he seems to have a thing for cats (and prepubescent girls).

I posted this one in the random thread:

Balthus, Le salon II, 1942

I genuinely want that on my wall.

Went to an exhibition a few days ago. It was ok, but the artist mostly work with broken mirrors / glass, and for some reason i highly dislike that, to the point of being uncomrfortable. It's like i was afraid to cut myslelf accidentely, even though I was 10 feet from it. Weird.

Anyway, maybe that feeling combined with the piece below made me feel extremely sad:

The oiece is huge, about 5.5 feet tall. The circles are speakers. 4 total. Inside, on the ground, is unnecessary long wiring for the speakers, like they cover most of the floor. The only thing coming from the speaker was the sound of a woman breathing with difficulty, up to the point of choking and gasping, but never too loud.

It freaked me out.
