Kind of surprised there isn't a thread on this already. I loved this series, just finished the final book, Mockingjay. Any other fans on here?

I really liked the series, although I wish she would've actually chosen Peeta, rather than just getting him as the default because the other guy screwed up.

I LOVED Hunger Games. My stomach was in knots the entire time I was reading it. Catching Fire was good but nothing compared to the first. I wasn't as much of a fan of Mockingjay. Collins has a tricky way of explaining things which made it hard to picture certain aspects. So basically the books started out with a bang but went a little downhill.

^^Yeah, I kind of agree, my fellow librarians though that it seemed like she just wanted to finish off the series and kind of rushed through the last book.

It definitely seemed that way, but I wish it wasn't the case. The first one was just so amazingly good, the other two were just disappointing.

The only way this movie can stand to be as good as the books is if they rate it R and make it as gory as the book makes it seem. Or else it'll probably just be dull.
On the other hand, I'm excited to see someone else's take on what everything is supposed to look like. Especially all the crazy fashions in the Capitol!

Not too many movies based on books stay perfectly true to the book, unfortunately. Harry Potter movies, case in point.
