I love to read, so I can give many great recommendations. Ask me about music, and I can tell you why artists like Nat King Cole and Etta James are brilliant. But don`t ever, EVER, trust my taste in television.

I got them removed!!! - Mood:Good |
|
Thursday November 16 20061:22:20 AM |
| | So, today I went to get my wisdom teeth removed under local anesthesia and I was totally okay during the procedure! It makes me now wonder why people choose to be sedated (though I did close my eyes the entire time). Now, I'm swollen and sore, and praying I don't get dry socket. Anyone know if it's bad to use the gauze pads for too long? |

Who here has had their Wisdom Teeth removed? - Mood:Good |
|
Saturday November 11 20062:55:43 AM |
| | So, on Wednesday I'm going to have my wisdom teeth removed, and initially I had decided to have them extracted while being asleep (general anasthetic) because the oral surgeon recommended it. Now, I'm thinking about just having local anasthetic and was wondering who here has had theirs removed, and how was it done? Personally, I feel like i'll be okay, and I don't think I want to pay the extra $300 to have general anasthesia. I can't quite decide what I should do though. Is it terribly traumatizing to be awake? How different is it from getting a filling? Was their any pain at all? What was it like? |

Runners! Calling all Runners! - Mood:Good |
|
Wednesday November 08 20061:03:52 AM |
| | Well, I'm a pretty big couch potato. Thing is, I've decided to get healthy by running and i'm not entirely sure how to go about starting. Today, I went for a run with my dog and ending up running for as long as I could (maybe 2-3 minutes?) and then walking, then running again, then walking. Kinda pathetic, but I'm determined to get better. Anyone here who was once in the same situation as me? Any advice for perhaps a better way to start running? If there's one thing I don't want, is to set my goals so high I get discouraged and want to stop. Any tricks to make it more enjoyable? |
