I'm freakin' out! - Mood:Good

I am FREAKING OUT. I'm home alone (Sultan is spending the night with his cousin... aka smoking pot and not wanting to deal with my bitch about it when he gets home), and I decided that I should be productive on my first night officially living here and take out the trash. It's really dark, and I hear some weird noise. It's like flapping or something.... struggling sounding, too. I didn't see anything right away, but then I saw on the steps outside some big, white thing banging around! It was some sort of animal! I didn't get a close look, because I f*cking ran in complete TERROR. I refuse to leave the apartment until Sultan returns. WHAT THE F*CK WAS THAT AND WHY WAS IT ACTING INSANE?! I can't describe it probably, but I am seriously terrified. It's like, right outside. What if it's some rabies infested beast, or a big rat with it's foot stuck? Aaaaaaaaaah!

I'm moving on Friday. Sultan and I will officially be cohabiting! This is a first for me. Next step: marriage (HA!) Anyway, I got into an argument with Sultan this afternoon, but we resolved after a couple of hours, thank God. He was actually trying to tell me that RAPE RUINS A WOMAN'S REPUTATION AND SHE SHOULD NEVER ADMIT IF IT HAPPENED TO HER!! I told him he was SICK and mentally ill. Rape is a horribly traumatic experience, and no woman should ever be ASHAMED if it happens, as it isn't her fault. In fact, it's terribly hurtful and damaging for her. He told me that he agreed that it's terrible and not the woman's fault, but that it's not something she should talk about, as people will look down upon her. WHAT?!? continued...

Happy night! - Mood:Good

I'm so happy about the election! Yay! I'm enjoying hearing the excited shouts around my place, too. It's nice to be a part of a historical election. I'm so excited that from now on children in school learning about history will no longer only see WHITE presidents. Kids who aren't white will now that THEY can do it, too. It's very exciting. Now we just need a woman to win one of these years! I'm seeing so many people on TV, so happy that they're crying, and it makes me happy. This country needed some happiness. Plus, two more days and I'm living with Sultan! Woo hoo!
