How did you adult today? - Mood:Good
Sunday December 09 20189:33:56 PM |
Let us sing praises of ways we have managed to pretend we are adults today.

I have just done a massive online order in bulk for cleaning and bathroom products.
I had $90 in rewards cash for my local supermarket, and I get 5% discounts cause my sister works for them.

I used this to do a bulk order of those annoying, expensive things you only buy once in awhile, laundry liquid, fabric softener, garbage bags, toilet paper, shampoo conditioner etc.

Seeing as I'm unemployed, I figured stocking up would be a good idea, so we don't have to worry and I wasn't technically spending any of my own dollarydoos.

What did you do?

Decisions decisions - Mood:Overwhelmed
Friday December 07 20181:11:39 AM |
See previous journal for backstory.

I did a budget out, based entirely on Hylians wage only and the ongoing bills that cannot be stopped I also factored in some savings every week.

If I went back to school, I could NOT work, but we would be living pretty tight, eating out, no going to events work/school/home. We have cable tv, unlimited interwebs with a decent connection and I am a pretty good cook. It could get dicey at times if an unexpected expense came up.

If I worked say 15hrs per week though it would be much better, we wouldn't have trouble with a sudden expense, and 15hrs per week is doable whilst studying, most of my study would be in class cause of the type of course I am doing. Sure theres assignments and such, but it's a lot more face to face learning than say a 4yr degree where you're doing a lot of readings and self directed research.

Got firedish, let go ish, contract not renewed ish. DONT PANIC - Mood:Anxious
Wednesday December 05 201811:38:32 AM |
Or you know panic, it's a long long long story. Basically my contract was due to end on 29 Jan, They decided not to renew it and also let me leave now and pay me out until then.

They made up a heap of excuses that piss me off. It's a HUGE tldr.

I'm, ok? I think. I don't know what I want to do though, I have plenty of time to consider it, but I am at a real crossroads of "holy crap, do I want to stay in finance? do I want to go back to retail? Do I want to go into customer service like receptionist type gigs, do I want to go back to school and learn something I've been thinking off for awhile such as allied health or disability?

It's tough.

Help me decide?
