| | My husband and I had our final "marriage" interview/Adjustment of Status with immigration yesterday and he is now a PERMANENT resident of the United States of America. In three years he will apply for citizenship. Then he will eventually have dual US/UK citizenship. It was a great day...a great feeling! We got a call from a local paper last night and they think our story is wonderful and want to write a feature article on us. This was probably the second most important day for us since our wedding! |

| | My husband and I finally got the letter we've been waiting for. On July 27th, we will have our "marriage interview" at the Dept. of Justice office in Chicago. We'll be celebrating our 2nd year anniversary in September so that should give you some idea of how back-logged INS is. This interview will also adjust my husband's status to permanent resident. He's a British citizen but would like to work towards US citizenship. Finally! |
