I`m 26 and engaged to a most wonderful man who I`ve been dating for almost 6 years. I support the death penalty and gay marriage, am Pro-Choice, own a gun and appreciate my right to do so, am terribly sarcastic, and working in law enforcement for the past 7ish years has made me pretty cynical. I`m going to school to be a registered nurse. I think that about sums it up.

 Cell phone question. - Mood:Sad |

| | Maybe someone here knows the answer. I forgot to take my cell phone out of my pants before I put them in the washer last night. Whilst pulling them out to put them in the dryer, there was my phone, at the bottom of the washing machine. I've looked up all the "fixes" online to fix drowned phones. I'm doubting any of them will work. I don't have insurance on it. The water voided the warranty. So, do I just go pay full price for a new phone? Or will they fix it for a charge? All the online phone deals at cingular/att's website are for 2 year contracts. I've been a customer for years, so I don't need a new contract. Anyone have any experience dealing with this? |

| | Forever! Yes, it's my last day of work with this police department. After 4.5 years working here, it's time for me to move on. It was time a couple of years ago, but only recently did an opportunity present itself to me. Next Monday I start at my new job. I was supposed to start this coming Monday, but because of some delay in paperwork signage, I get an entire week off. I haven't had a whole week off in about 3 years. It's going to be glorious. My new job will be working for the police department of a local college (university, for all you overseas folks). I've been super excited for the last couple of weeks. Now, I'm all tearful and stuff. I sent out my "goodbye" e-mail to my co-workers and cried. Blargh. It's gonna be hard when I walk out the door at three. BUT! I'm gonna go home and make a Paula Deen Peanut Butter cake. It's gonna rock. How are you? |
