| | A lot of people like to slag off the NHS. Particularly those of you who don't have something similar and fear socialised healthcare as some sort of communistic boogeyman. Let me tell you about my day. As some of you may know, I'm diabetic. I woke up this morning with a large red mark on my left foot. When you're diabetic, you don't piss about when it comes to your feet, so I phoned the doctor straight away. I was seen within an hour. Turns out the doc thinks it's just a rash and nothing to get too excited about, but he gave me a cream, told me to come back immediately if there was no improvement and to buy flip flops to wear around the house. Cost to me? Zero. Apart from the flip flops... |
